Jeff Newman is entering his Second-year coaching with the Machine staff, joining in the 2022 season. Coach Jeff’s coaching philosophy is “lead by example, provide excellent instruction, motivate through positive feedback, and strive for greatness.” Coach Jeff possesses years of experience in coaching, swimming instruction, technique and skill development. Coach Jeff was a coach for the Ashburn Village Aqua Jets CSL summer league for the past two seasons and was a coach for the Blue Wave club swim team for three consecutive years prior to the pandemic. He also coached a developmental swim team, Frozen Jets during that time. Over the past five years, Coach Jeff has taught group and private swim lessons and coached Master's swim for two years. He has also coached youth basketball, football and developed and initiated other sports skills development programs. Most recently, Coach Jeff was the Director of the Youth Program at The Fitness Equation in Chantilly, Virginia. Coach Jeff attended Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Coach Jeff’s passion is encouraging youth to achieve their greatest potential and promoting a love of sport and competition.

Amy’s competitive swimming journey began at the age of 6 and continued through middle and high school, college, and open water marathon swimming. Amy (Iman) represented the National Team of Egypt and competed in the international level. During her time in Egypt, she co-coached swim teams, gaining valuable coaching experience and contributing to the development of young swimmers.
She graduated from Cario University with a BA in business and information technology and completed her graduate work at George Mason University. Amy earned her master’s degree in leadership Strategies and human capital behavior. Currently she is pursuing her Doctoral degree in Business.
While working as an IT program manager, she has been actively teaching and coaching swimming in Loudoun County since 2017. Amy is certified level 3 ASCA, and WSI certified. Amy is passionate about swimming, she believes in the power of motivation, constructive feedback, and the right guidance and support, to unlock each swimmer’s potential in the sport. With her expertise and dedication, she strives to push her swimmers beyond their limits and help them achieve their goals in swimming.
