Chad Williams - Site Director & Senior Coach

chad@machineaquatics.com

Chad began his swimming career at the age of 4 in the Prince-Mont Swim league with his neighborhood pools. Summer swimming is where Chad’s love of swimming began. In high school, he joined Machine Aquatics which was a year-round swim program; and he swam for his high school, Archbishop Spalding. Chad’s love of swimming did not stop there, he also swam at Saint Peter's University for 3 years, which was a Division I Collegiate sport.

Chad has a knack for working with children of different swim skill levels and he has a desire to help them develop both as a swimmer and a teammate. Chad is passionate about helping kids become better swimmers as well as helping them to find enjoyment in the process. He has worked with all levels of swimmers ranging from swim school up to junior nationals.

Chad serves as the head site coach at Fairland Aquatics and is the primary coach for National Prep and High Performance Orange.

Laura started club swimming with the Campbell River Salmon Kings when she was four years old, and now has nearly 25 years of experience. Her favorite events are distance free and fly, but she especially loves social kicking while chatting with teammates. She is a biochemist and biomedical engineer, and currently swims at UMD with Terrapin Masters. She started coaching with Machine Aquatics in 2023, and is excited to be returning to the Gears swimmers at Fairlands this season!

Elena Argueta - Age Group Coach

elena@machineaquatics.com

I was born, and currently reside in College Park, Maryland. My competitive swimming journey started in 2013 on a small summer team. I joined Machine Aquatics in 2018, and have not looked back!

During my time as a swimmer on Machine, I became certified for lifeguarding, worked at two pools, then offered swim lessons for my local community pool. In the summer of 2023, it was offered by my mentor, Dan Haines, to become a coach! I will always be thankful for this job, because I truly love teaching aspiring swimmers.

There is always something to learn, and there are always ways of improvement. I hope that my time at Machine Aquatics only grows my knowledge for coaching, and for life. Outside of swimming, I enjoy baking pineapple-upside cake and cookies. Roller skating is also one of my favorite hobbies! Thank you very much for reading.

Eanna Hehir Keys - Age Group Coach

eanna@machineaquatics.com

I started swimming at age 5 with my local neighborhood summer league team. My Mom swam competitively in Ireland so being safe and competent in the water has always been top priority in our family. I later joined Maryland Suburban Swim Club (MSSC) and swam with them until graduating High School in 2016! I swam collegiately for York College before transferring to The University of Maryland.

I attended The University of Maryland studying History and Education! I’m currently an Educator at The American History Museum in Washington DC!

I dipped my toes into coaching in 2014 as a Junior Coach with MSSC within their pre-team program. Later that summer I helped run the swim lesson program at my local pool and coached with the summer team. During and after my college years I coached with MSSC primarily with their Mini Programs, and started my run as Head Coach at Laurel City Swim Team.

I am delighted to be continuing my growth as a coach with Machine Aquatics!
